Some things in life deserve more time and attention
we believe your health is one of them
Christmas to New Year Practice Closure
Our practice will be closed from 12pm Thursday 24 December 2020 and will reopen at 7.40am on Monday 4 January 2021.
We’ve worked hard to care for our patients throughout this very challenging year, so we are taking a small break to spend time with our families and recharge ready for 2021.
If you need medical assistance during this time you could call our after-hours service on 13 74 25, or you could attend the Caloundra Minor Injuries and Illness Clinic on West Terrace (8am-8pm 7 days).
In case of an emergency please call 000 or attend the nearest Emergency Department.
We thank our patients and our local health services for your trust and your support in 2020 – a year like no other!
Wishing everyone a joyful festive season and a prosperous, healthy and happy new year. From Dr Nicola, Jen and the entire Saltwater Medical Team!
We are a state-of-the-art, family-owned, private-billing general practice focused on delivering exceptional care.
Bookings can be made online or by calling us on (07) 5301 9828.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON CORONAVIRUS AND OUR ENHANCED INFECTION CONTROL PROCEDURES
Because of the serious public health situation in relation to Coronavirus we have put in place rigorous infection control procedures at our practice.
These measures include:
– Adjustments to patient flow in order to separate patients with exposure risks or cold and flu-like symptoms
– Reception triaging and screening protocols
(please note you may risk being suspended from the practice if you are not honest with our reception team about cold & flu-like symptoms or known exposure risks to COVID-19 before attending the practice)
– Seeing patients with symptoms or exposure risks for any medical condition at the rear of our building in our ‘Car Park Clinic’ (appointments essential)
– Enhanced environmental cleaning and infection control procedures
– Appropriate social distancing – please only bring essential people to the consultation
We sincerely thank you for your honesty, goodwill, continued kindness and understanding of these necessary precautions required to keep our patients and our staff safe.
All services remain on offer safely from our facility because of these measures.
What if I have symptoms?
We can continue to safely consult with our existing patients with cold & flu-like symptoms (runny nose, fever, cough, sore throat etc) or exposure risks in our outdoor, under cover 3-bay, drive-in ‘Car Park Clinic’.
Please note that appointments are essential (no online bookings for the ‘Car Park Clinic’).
Please phone the practice for more information on how these appointments work, and please only bring the essential people to the consult.
Payment must be made at the conclusion of your consult over the phone via credit card only.
Managing our appointments like this allows us to protect our patients, staff and doctors from the risk of cross infection, while still providing necessary care to our patients.
Please be honest and patient
Please help us by being honest when our reception team ask screening questions, and please be patient and understanding. We are always doing the very best we can.
